The final match for the United States women's water polo team before the 2012 London Olympic Games is against Hungary on Sunday evening at 6 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on NBC Sports. The game is being played at Corona del Mar High School in Newport Beach, Calif., and concludes the two teams exhibition series.
Team USA won the first matchup against Hungary 17-8 in a packed house at the Avery Aquatic Center on the Stanford campus. In fact the United States is 3-0 on this exhibition series against Hungary, the other games had the United States winning 14-8 on July 4 and the third game was much closer with Team USA winning 7-6.
The third match was closer since the United States was only 4-for-10 in power play attempts, but it was the defense that helped the United States earn that slim victory.
Going off of the three prior results against Hungary, the United States will need to have a good showing in their power play opportunities as well as a strong defense to complete the four-game sweep of Hungary.
Expect another big crowd as this is the final game in the United States before they head off to London and their quest for a gold medal.
Come join us and chat about the game as it unfolds at 6 p.m. ET on NBC Sports.
