The 2013 women's Eastern championships have been award to the Michigan Wolverines. This will be the second time that the Eastern Championships have been hosted at the Donald B. Canham Nataorium, with the last time being in 2008, and that year Michigan won the tournament to advance to the NCAA tournament. Michigan also has hosted one NCAA women's water polo championship which was back in 2010.

The University of Michigan will host the 2013 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Women's Eastern Championship on April 26-28 to determine the league's representative to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Women's Water Polo Championship on May 10-12 at the McDonald's Swim Stadium on the campus of the University of Southern California.
The 2012 Eastern Championships is being hosted by Brown University in their brand-new Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center.
