The top four seeds at the WWPA championships advanced on Saturday, but it was only UC San Diego and Air Force who easily earned victories on Friday night. UCSD easily took care of host Whittier, by a score of 13-6.
While Air Force had no issues in their 14-6 win over Claremont. This game was close midway through the fourth quarter, but the Falcons scored the final six goals to pull away. Cruz Smithson scored five goals and goalie Michel Fish had 16 saves for Falcons.
No. 2 seeded LMU narrowly escaped Pomona-Pitzer's massive comeback. LMU lead 7-0 after the first quarter, but then they coasted and allowed Pomona-Pitzer to comeback and make it a close game.
