WWPA championship game: No. 1 UC San Diego vs. No. 3 Air Force

A NCAA Tournament berth is on the line when top seeded UC San Diego takes on No. 3 Air Force, Sunday at 5:15 p.m. ET.

The 2012 WWPA title games features No. 1 seed UC San Diego going up against No. 3 seed Air Force at 5:15 p.m. ET Sunday afternoon on the campus of Whittier College. The game will also be streamed for free online.

These two teams have met twice this year and UCSD won both matchups. The first was 9-3, but in the second time around, Air Force made it a much close matchup, losing 10-9.

Both of these teams are in the zone, as UC San Diego has won seven in a row, and eight of their last 10 games; Air Force has won nine of their last 10 games. So, both teams are geared up and ready to play.

The key player in the match is UC San Diego's Josh Stilling, he won the WWPA player of the year award despite missing about a month of the season. Stilling was not in the lineup when Air Force lost 10-9, but he was playing in the first matchup where Air Force lost by six goals.

The key players for Air Force are goalie Mike Fish and attacker Josh Stedman. Fish was a second-team all-league selection, and Stedman a first-team choice.

The key for Air Force is to draw ejections and then convert on those chances, and UCSD will need to get scoring early with Stilling's continuing his stellar tournament play, so far he has five goals.

This game begins at 3:15 p.m. MT and is streamed for free online.
