The seedings for the 2012 Women's Eastern Championships have been announced and to a surprise to no one Michigan earned the No. 1 seed with Southern Division champions Princeton claiming the No. 2 spot.
The West was the better division this season and claim five of the top six spots with West regular season champion Maryland who lost their last two games earned the No. 4 spot, while Indiana earned the No. 3 spot and Hartwick came in at No. 5. The second South division team is Brown who comes in at No. 6.
Here is the full seedings for the Eastern Championships:
1. Michigan Wolverines
2. Princeton Tigers
3. Indiana Hoosiers
4. Maryland Terrapins
5. Hartwick Eagles
6. Brown Bears
7. Harvard Crimson
8. Bucknell Bison
9. George Washington Colonials
10. Mercyhurst Lakers
11. Gannon Golden Knights
12. Notre Dame College Falcons
13. Salem International Tigers
My projections were pretty spot on with the exception of getting Hartwick and Maryland who I had swapped.
