The final 2012 CWPA rankings have been released after last weekends NCAA championships, and the obvious choice for the No. 1 spot is the Stanford Cardinal who were the NCAA champions, runner up USC Trojans took the No. 2 spot and the UCLA Bruins dropping to No. 3. Overall movement was not there since only eight teams played and the only shuffling was with the top three, so not much excitement going on in these final polls.
Maryland in what is likely to be their final season had their highest national ranking in school history at No. 12 which bested their best ranking which was No. 17 last year.
