2012 Texas High School Water Polo Championships: Strake Jesuit Wins Boys Crown, Clear Creek Upsets Clear Lake For Girls Title

The 2012 Texas high school water polo championships is in the books and the title games were some good ones. On the girls side it was Clear Creek who won their fifth overal state title and first since 2000 in their 12-9 win over Clear Lake. While loss for Clear Lake was their first of the season.

On the boys side Strake Jesuit finally broke through to win their first ever state title and they needed a comeback to do so. They started off slow against Clear Creek and trailed 3-1 at the end of the first quarter and 5-4 at the half before going up one heading into the fourth quarter to win 11-10 over Clear Creek.

In the third place games, on the boys side St. Marks crushed Alvin 24-6 while on the girls side it was Clear Springs defeating Lamar 6-5.
