Water Polo Announcing Crew Named For London Olympics

This news actually came out a few weeks ago, but here it is anyways. The entire broadcast staff for the 2012 London Olympic Games has been announced. NBC who owns the rights will broadcast and will air 5,535 hours of Olympic coverage during the London games.

There will be six networks in NBC, NBC Sports Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Bravo, and Telemundo; two specialty channels for soccer and basketball, a 3D network, NBC's website and YouTube.

The water polo announcers are no real secret since NBC Sports has broadcast a handful of games over the past two months.

Here is the team:

Mike Emrick (play-by-play)
Julie Swail (analyst)
Wolf Wigo (analyst)

Emrick is a good choice since he is an Emmy-award winning play-by-play announcer for the top NHL broadcast team for NBC. Swail and Wigo are both former Olympians and know the sport very well, and listening to the crew in prior games this is a good lineup for the sport.
