The second day of competition for men's water polo at the Summer Olympics gets going very early on Tuesday morning. There are many key games as teams do not want to have zero points after two games, and others will be looking to getting four points and an early grip on earning one of the top two seeds.
One of the biggest games is Hungary against Montenegro as both teams lost their first game and the loser will have an uphill battle to claim one of the top four spots.
On the other side of the spectrum Croatia and Spain in Group A with the winner looking to earn four points and be in a first place tie with Croatia. By the way, Croatia plays Kazakhstan and I am counting that as a win for Croatia.
In Group B, 1-0 United States takes on Romania who is 1-0 and this will be another key game in seeding as the winner will stay in first place. There is a lot at stake even though it is only the second of five games, but the teams that go 2-0 have a very good shot of moving on while the teams that go 0-2 will struggle to advance. That is why the Hungary vs. Montenegro game is so key.
