For fourth time in as many years the Princeton Tigers will have one of their opening weekend matches be broadcast live on ESPNU. In 2009 Princeton took on the UCLA Bruins and the opponent in 2010 and 2011 was the Santa Clara Broncos.
The defending CWPA Eastern champions get to take on a more high profile opponent in the California Golden Bears at their opening season Princeton Invitational at DeNunzio Pool. Cal is likely to be ranked somewhere in the top-five, and Princeton will find themselves ranked somewhere between No. 10 and No. 15 once the preseason polls are released in August.
This is will be the second game that will be broadcast on television for Princeton, the other is a late September trip to the West Coast when they take on the USC Trojans on the Pac-12 Networks.
