Two games have been played on the women's side, and had the United States beaten Spain on Tuesday instead of blowing a three goal lead with 2:30 left but instead had to settle for a tie they would have won Group A. Now, Team USA is in trouble of not getting the chance to play host Great Britain in the quarterfinal stage.

The United States takes on China and will need to win and have Spain either lose to Hungary or if Spain wins the United State will need to score five more goals. Currently Spain has a plus-four goal differential and that is the first tie breaker, so Team USA will need their offense to be on fire to earn the first spot if both teams win.
