The preseason women's water polo rankings were released earlier this week, and to no surprise to anyone, the Stanford Cardinal are the unanimous No. 1 team in the country. Stanford returns three Olympians who took the year off to train full time, and that 2012 still was able to win the NCAA title.
USC is the No. 2 team and earns every second place vote out there, and then rounding out the top five is UCLA, Cal and Arizona State.
Teams outside of California are receiving extremely high preseason rankings this year with the Princeton Tigers being ranked No. 10 and Michigan Wolverines at No. 11.
