The United States men's national team takes part in the 2013 international event of the new year, and it is a huge tournament. The UANA Tournament is a four-team qualification tournament where the top two squads earn a spot at the 2013 FINA World Championships which will be played at Barcelona in July.
The United States has a roster mixed of former Olympians, players with international club experience and some high thought of college players. There are just four players who took part in the 2012 London Olympic Games.
The other teams are Argentina, Canada and Brazil; none of which were in the prior Olympics. Even with a roster that has been practice for about six weeks, Team USA should be able to win the tournament. They recently played an exhibition match with Argentina, and won 14-8.
The tournament is being played in Calgary and begins on Wednesday Jan. 30 and runs through Feb. 2. Here is the complete men's schedule (all times Eastern):
